Open house at Anne Marie Bertrand

Anne Marie Bertrand a French quilt artist will kindly welcome you in her studio to show the embroidered afghan blocs that you can buy to insert in a quilt. Pascale Goldenberg volunteers for the DAI ((Deutsch-Afghanische-Initiative) to help Afghan women to acquire some wages and most of all some dignity through work.

Anne Marie and Lise Darenne will present blocs embroidered with cotton threads by the Laghmani women and also blocs embroidered with silk threads by Hazara women from Sharak.

If you have the possibility to attend, you will be most welcome, otherwise just be aware of the wonderful work done by Pascale Goldenberg and her friends.

Quiltfestival Noord Groningen

The Foundation Quilt Festival Groningen organizes on Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of June 2012 again the three-day quilting festival and textile market.

Following the success of 2010, the Foundation Quilt Festival North Groningen organizes in June 2012 for the second time the Quilt Festival. During these days quilts are exhibited in 14 historic churches in the Eemsmond town and in the Open Air Museum Het Hoogeland in Warffum. In the Op Roakeldaishal in Warffum are several shops and workshops will be given.
